The 151-room property boasts a significant library of over 3,000 books, including first editions signed by authors and literary guests like Cheryl Strayed and Stephen King, reflecting its deep connection to the literary community. A major renovation in 2018, led by the design firm Perks + Will, refreshed the hotel’s interior while keeping its strong community connection and preserving original details like the grand staircase, ornate woodwork and chandeliers.
